Our employees have access to ongoing continuing education, training, and professional development opportunities. Our learning and development programs are designed to help employees realize their professional potential by acquiring new skills that lead to enrichment in their current role while helping to prepare them for future career growth.
At the WEL Learning Center, we provide clinical and management training for our employees. Our Staff Development Team provides educational and training support including: medication administration, care giving, CPR, first aid, dementia care, diabetes care, IV training, and LEAP—a program that promotes staff-resident relationships through a model of person-centered care.
Our employees are granted access to WEL University 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Through this web- based platform, employees can access over 800 accredited online courses for continuing education, in-service training, leadership development, and more! Employees can take as many courses as they like and enjoy immediate access to exam results, as well as receive CE and in-service certificates.
Our goal is to develop managers into coaches who inspire a shared vision. They empower both individuals and their team to act in order to reach their full potential. In order to identify future leaders within the organization, we must start with making sure our current Leadership team has the tools and resources they need to provide the necessary support and guidance to the members of their team. Our Leadership Development Program provides ongoing education to current employees and new leaders as they are hired; and continues throughout their time at Wesley Enhanced Living.
